Micaela is a nutritionist with deep compassion for the challenges that her clients are facing. We’re bombarded with nutrition advice, diet culture, fast food, and processed foods masquerading as “health foods!” It is overwhelming. Add in our hectic schedules and the basics of nourishment with wholesome food gets pushed aside. Does it need to be this complicated?

Micaela’s goal is to help you find a realistic plan that is sustainable and enjoyable. No “diet” is successful if the results are not sustainable. As a mother of a toddler, she has experience feeding a family and she understands the difficulties that includes. Being a nutritionist does not exclude her family from the frustrations of endless requests for crackers or preparing healthy meals that get turned away at the dinner table. She is in the trenches with you and learning every day how to maintain health as a parent so we can show up with energy in all areas of our lives.

Micaela has a strong conviction that we need to model health for our children. She wants to inspire other parents to lead by example in their own homes. We cannot say one thing to our children and practice something different every day. As children grow, they can only replicate what they have seen consistently over the years. The daily behaviours we practice as parents will influence their health and quality of life, for the rest of their lives.

We’re all in different seasons and Micaela will work with you to design a plan that’s accessible for where you’re at now. There are times to challenge yourself, and times for rest and recovery, but now is always a good time to get started. The perfect time does not exist, so don’t put it off any longer!

Micaela leads our group Applied Nutrition Program and contributes to our collaborative program, Nutrition and Mindset. Group programs are a wonderful way to learn about nutrition with the added benefit of support and community built right in. Contact our office to get on the wait list for our next group program!
